Honky Tonk Bar & Restaurant is a new venue aimed at bringing the New York Vibe to the heart of Chelsea; playing the best in Blues, Jazz and Rockabilly and serving good old fashioned American bites. The menu offers dishes familiar to the English palate including Meatballs, Crab cakes, Ribs and Mac ?n? cheese as well as some not so familiar American favourites such as Smoked Chicken Cobb Salad and Brisket Roll.
My meal began with New England Crab Cakes served with chilli mayo which I really enjoyed and was followed by a beautifully cooked and juicy, Rare Breed Longhorn Rib eye Steak and hand cut rosemary fries which tasted delicious. To round off I selected the Warm Chocolate and Hazelnut Brownie which came with vanilla bean ice cream and honeycomb flakes. However the brownie could have been a little sweeter for my taste and I struggled to find the vanilla bean or flavour, in the ice cream.
The service at Honky Tonk was second to none and the sweet and friendly (and all very pretty) waitresses assisted and catered to my every need. It was a shame however that the venue no longer plays live music as it would have no doubt added to the New York vibe.
