Following the death of ?Glee? star Cory Monteith, the Westboro Baptist Church has announced that it will picket his funeral. Monteith, 31, was found dead in a hotel room and the cause of death has yet to be determined. He played a football player-turned-chorus singer on the popular Fox show.
After news of Monteith?s death became public, the WBC took to Twitter:
?Westboro Baptist Church is GLEE-ful over God?s righteous judgment to end @CoryMonteith?s life! Funeral picket soon! pic.twitter.com/EoDphhkSr3?
The church apparently has a problem with some of the gay characters and same-sex relationships that ?Glee? highlights.
?Westboro praises God for his righteous judgments. Hell won?t be gleeful for #CoryMonteith - he taught millions to sin pic.twitter.com/3wRgycLHb5?
Lea Michele, Monteith?s on and off-camera girlfriend, was also taken to task by the WBC, The Inquisitr reported.
?Will @msleamichele kill herself as well? Then the wedding can go on as planned IN HELL! ? invites for all their fans! pic.twitter.com/VhH1Wf78Ee?
This sort of behavior is nothing new for the WBC. In the past, the church has threatened to picket after the Aurora theater shooting, Sandy Hood Elementary School massacre and the recent funerals of the 19 firefighters who were killed in Arizona.
